Formula 1 Summer Charge
2025
Following the summer break of the 2025 Formula 1 season, the races started getting heated after a melodramatic first half. Many drivers began causing scenes and breaking records, and in particular, Max Verstappen began his championship charge, winning five out of ten races.
Each race weekend, I chose a driver who had an exceptional weekend and designed a poster around them.
This was created as a creative exercise and not made for sale or profit; the images and licenses belong to the respective teams and drivers.

During the qualifying session, Max Verstappen qualified 16th due to a lack of pure pace, his worst qualifying position of the season and his career. Taking a gamble, his team switched out the power unit, which relegated him to start last in 20th place from the pit lane. For the next two hours, Verstappen led his charge up the grid, at one point leading the race, the best qualifying to race recovery in Formula 1 history, before coming in for a pit stop to close the race out in 3rd behind Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli.
With the race featuring in São Paulo, I pulled in the green and yellow of the Brazilian flag—the organic shapes cut out from the shape of the track in Red Bull red and navy. At the top left are the helmets of Norris and Antonelli encircled in their respective team colors. “MAD MAX” features behind Verstappen’s head, his nickname in his early Formula 1 years, coined for his ruthlessness on the track.
