Amtrak Rebrand

2024

Amtrak won’t get far from the station if it doesn’t catch up with airlines. Without government funding, Amtrak can’t make its trains faster, but it can make the ride more worthwhile. Focusing on the journey rather than the destination, this Amtrak Rebrand refocuses on the beauty of nature and traveling through it, something plane travel will never have.

American Track

Amtrak was created by the United States government in 1971 to take over intercity passenger rail service from private railroad companies. The government believed that intercity passenger rail service was a vital transportation service that should be maintained. With its now extensive network of routes and comfortable amenities, train travel offers a unique and enjoyable way to explore the country.

The new Amtrak logo is italicized to express the forward motion of trains while the lines extending from the A and the K represent two tracks, the history of trains, and the future.

An Intertwined History

Amtrak travels straight through 19 National Parks from Washington D.C. to California with train stations in four of them. With Amtrak, there’s no need to leave your seat to experience the beauty of nature right outside your window, and no worry about your carbon footprint.
